Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald writes sources close to Dolphins owner Stephen Ross have informed that the Miami Dolphins are willing to pay Jeff Fisher whatever it takes to land the him.
“The Dolphins are prepared to make Jeff Fisher the best financial offer of any team vying for the coach this winter,” writes Salguero.
One source said that “if Jeff wants the money, if that is more important to him, then the Dolphins have a good chance.”
Dolphins don’t have a quarterback of the future in place which could be one of the reasons why they’re willing to throw almost unlimited cash at Fisher to coach their team. Ross used similar techniques when trying to land Jim Harbaugh last year so it’s really not a surprise. The Rams were reported to be in the lead for Fisher but at this point it’s really anyone’s guess.
