According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, the Eagles are still hoping to re-sign CB Ronald Darby, but there are other teams in the mix for his services.
Garafolo says the market for outside cornerbacks should begin to take off Tuesday.
It’s worth mentioning that Darby suffered a torn ACL last year.
Darby, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2015. The Eagles trade WR Jordan Matthews and a 2018 third-round pick to the Bills in return for Darby in 2017.
Darby played out the final year of his four-year, $4.569 million contract and is testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2018, Darby appeared in nine games for the Eagles and recorded 43 tackles, one interception and 12 pass defenses.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
