Eagles Place OT Jordan Mailata On IR, Promote LB B.J. Bello

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Friday that they’ve placed OT Jordan Mailata on injured reserve and promoted LB B.J. Bello to their active roster.

  • The Eagles also signed G Kaleb Johnson to their practice squad.

Mailata, 21, was selected with the No. 233 overall pick in the seventh round of this year’s draft after the Eagles traded up with the Patriots to get him. He agreed to a four-year, $2,549,392 with the Eagles and stands to make base salaries of $570,000 and $660,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

Mailata is a former Aussie Rugby player, who made the decision to pursue an NFL career this past offseason.

Mailata has yet to appear in an NFL game.
