Adam Caplan reports that the Eagles have placed a second-round tender on exclusive rights free-agent QB Nate Sudfeld.
The second-round tender will cost them $3.095 million for the 2019 season and ensure that they receive a second-round pick for him if they decline to match an offer he receives from another team.
Sudfeld, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2016. He signed a four-year, $2.47 million contract with Washington but was cut loose coming out of the 2017 preseason.
Sudfeld signed on with Eagles’ practice squad shortly after and was eventually promoted to the active roster. He was able to stay on Philadelphia’s active roster and was able to earn a backup role.
In 2018, appeared in two games for the Eagles and recorded one completion for 22 yards and a touchdown.
