Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Eagles are re-signing veteran DE Vinny Curry to a one-year deal worth up to $2 million on Friday.
There was some buzz in recent months about Curry returning to Philadelphia and it looks like the two parties were able to come to an agreement.
Curry was also linked to the Jets back in March, but nothing ever came of the reported interest.
Curry, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. He signed a five-year, $47.25 million contract that included $23 million guaranteed with the Eagles back in 2016 but was in March of 2018.
The Buccaneers later signed Curry to a three-year deal for up to $27 million in 2018 but was cut loose after one season. He signed a one-year, $2.25 deal with Philadelphia last offseason.
In 2019, Curry appeared in all 16 games and recorded 27 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and five sacks. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 22 overall edge defender out of 107 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
