Derrick Gunn, citing a league source, reports that Eagles S Rodney McLeod underwent surgery Thursday morning for a torn MCL his 2018 season is over.
You can expect the Eagles to place McLeod on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
McLeod, 28, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia back in 2012. After four years with the Rams, McLeod departed in free agency and signed a five-year, $37 million contract that included $17 million guaranteed with the Eagles in 2016.
McLeod stands to make base salaries of $6 million (2018), $7.5 million (2019) and $8.5 million (2020) over the remainder of the agreement.
In 2018, McLeod appeared in three games for the Eagles and recorded 10 tackles, no interceptions and four pass defenses.
