The Philadelphia Eagles announced Monday that they’ve signed 10 players to futures contracts for the 2019 season including WR Braxton Miller and RB Donnel Pumphrey.
The list of future signing includes:
- LB Asantay Brown
- C Anthony Fabiano
- G Kaleb Johnson
- CB Jeremiah McKinnon
- WR Braxton Miller
- WR Dorren Miller
- DE Joe Ostman
- RB Donnel Pumphrey
- CB Chandon Sullivan
- TE Will Tye
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Miller, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Texans back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $3.114 million contract hen the Texans cut him loose coming out of the preseason last year.
The Eagles later signed Miller to their practice squad after clearing waivers.
In 2016, Miller appeared 10 games for the Texans and caught 15 passes for 99 yards receiving and one touchdown.
Pumphrey, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft. He signed a four-year, $2.97 million contract with the Eagles and was set to make a base salary of $555,000 for the 2018 season when the Eagles waived him coming out of the preseason.
Pumphrey had a brief stint on the Lions’ practice squad before returning to the Eagles’ taxi squad last October.
During his four years at San Diego State, Pumphrey rushed for 6,405 yards on 1,059 attempts (6.0 YPC) and 62 touchdowns. He also caught 99 receptions for 1,039 yards receiving and five touchdowns.
