The new deal is worth up to $10 million, with $5.5 million guaranteed according to Peters’ agent. It saves the team around $3 million in cap space according to Jeff McLane.
Peters, 36, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas back in 2004. He spent five years in Buffalo before joining the Eagles in 2009.
Peters was in the second year of his three-year, $32.5 million contract that includes $15.5 million guaranteed and was scheduled to make base salaries of $7.75 million over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Peters started all 16 games for the Eagles. He was Pro Football Focus‘ No. 38-ranked tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
