Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Eagles are signing veteran S Johnathan Cyprien to a one-year contract on Friday.
- According to Mike Kaye, the Eagles are waiving LB Joey Alfieri.
The Eagles worked Cyprien out back in June, but it took until now for him to land another opportunity.
Cyprien, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $5,469,104 contract with the Jaguars before signing a four-year, $25 million contract with the Titans in 2016.
Cyprien was set to make base salaries of $4.5 million and $5.5 million over the next two years of the agreement when the Titans released him a few months ago.
In 2017, Cyprien appeared in 10 games for the Titans and recorded 57 tackles, one sack, no interceptions and a pass defense.
We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
