Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Eagles are signing former Packers TE Richard Rodgers to a one-year contract on Wednesday.
Rodgers, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,761,016 contract with the Packers and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2017, Rodgers appeared in 15 games for the Eagles and caught 12 passes for 160 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 41 tight end out of 71 qualifying players.
