Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that free agent Gย Evan Mathisย will take his scheduled visit to Seattle on Saturday to meet with the Seahawks.
According to Rapoport, despite having interest from other teams, it’sย unlikely that Mathis willย reach an agreement before his visit with the Seahawks.

Paul Kuharsky of ESPN reports that the Titans are “monitoring” what’s happening with free agent Gย Evan Mathis.
- Kuharsky suspects that Tennessee is interested in possibly signing him to a contract.

ESPN’s Adam Schefterย reports thatย free agent G Evan Mathis will visit with the Seahawks on Saturday.
- Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has confirmed the report, but mentions that the other interested teams aren’t known at this point in time.
However, Schefter adds that it’s still uncertain whether Mathis will travel to Seattle, given that he has interest from other NFL teams.
The Seahawks could really use some interior offensive line help and there’s no question that Mathis represents the best available option.
There has been a lot of buzz about him joining theย Dolphins ever since he was released by the Eagles several months ago, but Miami has elected to bring in cheaper options in recent days.
Mathis, 33,ย is amongย the best available free agents, but there hasn’t been as much interest in him as many expected, which likely has something to do with his asking price.
Recent reports have mentioned thatย Mathis is looking for close toย $5.5 million for the 2015 season.
Last year, Mathis appeared in nine games for the Eagles after he dealt with anย MCL injury.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the No. 2ย guardย out of 78ย qualifying players.
We have Mathis rated as the No. 1 player in ourย Top 25 Available Free Agents list.
