The Minnesota Vikings announced that DEย Everson Griffen will rejoin the team on Wednesday.

Here’s the statement from Vikings GM Rick Spielman:
“We have been in communication with Eversonโs medical professionals throughout this process and have relied on his recommendations regarding the appropriate next steps for Everson. We are excited to welcome Everson back to the Vikingsย and to see him around teammates, coaches, and staff – people who care deeply about his well-being. Our focus will continue to be on providing an on-going support system for Everson and his family.”
Griffen has missed the past few weeks and while focusing on getting the help he needs.
Griffen, 30, is a former fourth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2010. Griffen is in the second year of his six-year, $75 million contract that includes $34 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salray ofย $3.9 million for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Griffen has appeared in two games for the Vikings and recorded six tackles, one sack and a pass defense.
