Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that free agent RB Alex Collins pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of possession of a handgun and marijuana.
According to Rapoport, all felony charges were dropped as a result.
Collins received probation prior to conviction and the charges will be expunged after three years. He also paid a small fine of $200.
The NFL now plans to consider a suspension for Collins.
Last we heard regarding Collins, Rapoport reported in July that he suffered a broken leg and underwent surgery to repair it. Rapoport now says Collins should be fully recovered from his broken leg by the end of the month.
Collins was arrested back in February after crashing into a tree. The Ravens later cut him loose.
Collins, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2016. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2.566 million contract that included a $184,384 signing bonus when he was cut loose the by the Seahawks at the start of the 2017 season.
Collins signed on to the Ravens’ practice squad a few days later and was eventually promoted to their active roster. The Ravens brought him back on an exclusive rights contract last year and he was in line to be a restricted free agent this offseason before being cut.
In 2018, Collins appeared in 10 games and rushed for 411 yards on 114 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with 15 receptions for 105 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns.
