According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, former Seahawks WR Tamorrion Terry is one of 11 people indicted on felony murder charges stemming from a 2018 mass shooting.
This helps explain why the Seahawks suddenly waived Terry, a semi-notable undrafted free agent, in late June, weeks before the start of training camp.
Terry was indicted last week for the incident, which happened three years ago in June of 2018 the summer before his redshirt freshman season at Florida State. Police called it a gang-related shooting, with one woman killed and seven others injured.
One person was arrested in the days following the shooting but police believed several people fired into the crowd fleeing the nightclub where the shooting took place.
Terry, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Florida State back in April. He later agreed to a rookie contract with the Seahawks.
At Florida State, Terry was named second-team All-ACC in 2019 and opted out of the final two games of the 2020 season.
During his three-year career at Florida State, Terry caught 118 passes for 2,221 yards (18.8 YPC) and 18 touchdowns.
