Giants Place LB Ishaq Williams On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The New York Giants have officially placed LB Ishaq Williams on the injured reserve list after he passed through waivers unclaimed on Tuesday.

Williams, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason, but was later added to the Giants soon after.

New York called Williams up towards the end of the season before he was waived with an injury designation Thursday.

During his college career at Notre Dame, Williams recorded 45 tackles, six tackles for a loss, one sack, a forced fumble and a pass defense over the course of four years.
