Giants Sign LB Victor Butler To Future/Reserve Contract

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the New York Giants have signed LB Victor Butler to a future/reserve contract on Monday.

Butler signed on with the Colts back in early October. However, he was later to make room for LB Shaun Phillips, who was claimed off of waivers from the Titans.

The Saints signed Butler to a two-year, $3 million contract that included $1.5 million guaranteed last season, but was unfortunately among the Saints’ final roster coming out of the preseason.

Butler tore his ACL during offseason workouts last year and subsequently missed the entire 2013 season.

This year, Butler appeared in two games and recorded two tackles for the Colts.
