The New York Giants officially waived DB Jacob Thieneman from injured reserve on Thursday.
Thieneman, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Purdue back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Giants.
New York waived Thieneman with an injury designation a few weeks later and he reverted to their injured reserve list after clearing waivers.
During his college career at Purdue, Thieneman recorded 161 tackles, seven sacks, three interceptions, a fumble recovery and eight pass defenses over the course of 28 games.
