The New York Giants officially waived DB SaQwan Edwards on Thursday and signed DB Nigel Tribune to a contract.
Edwards, 25, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico back in May of 2015. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason before later being added to the Raiders practice squad at the start of the 2015 season.
Edwards was waived with an injury designation and spent the entire 2016 season on the Raiders’ injured reserve list. Oakland declined to tender him a contract, making him an unrestricted free agent this past March but he signed a contract with the Giants a few weeks ago.
