The New York Giants announced Thursday that they’ve placed LB Deontae Skinner on waivers.
Skinner, 27, signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State. He was on and off of the team’s practice squad and active roster for much of the 2014 season before New England brought him back on a future/reserve deal for the 2015 season.
Skinner spent a year with the Eagles before signing onto the Giants’ practice squad a few weeks into the regular season last year. He was on and off of the Giants’ active roster this season before signing on to the Raiders’ practice in October of last year.
New York brought him back a month later and he finished out the year with the Giants on their injured reserve list.
In 2017, Skinner appeared in three games and recorded two tackles.
