Giants Waive LB Ishaq Williams With Failed Physical Designation

The New York Giants officially waived LB Ishaq Williams with a failed physical designation on Thursday.

Williams, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame back in 2016. He was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason, but was later added to the Giants soon after.

Williams was waived with an injury designation last year and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list where he remained for the entire 2017 season.

During his college career at Notre Dame,ย Williams recorded 45 tackles, six tackles for a loss, one sack, a forced fumble and a pass defense over the course of four years.
