Rapoport says that Jaguars HC Doug Marrone has really wanted to fill the team’s tight end position and Eifert is one of the best available options at the position at this point in free agency.
Eifert, 29, is a first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8.256 million contract and finished the 2017 season under the fifth-year option.
The Bengals brought Eifert back on one-year contracts each of the past two years.
In 2019, Eifert appeared in all 16 games for the Bengals and caught 43 passes for 436 yards receiving and touchdowns.
We have him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
