According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, there are other Jaguars’ players drawing trade interest around the league right now including DL Calais Campbell, C Brandon Linder and G Andrew Norwell. However, La Canfora says the return for these players likely would not be great.
La Canfora mentions that a number of teams wanted to speak with the Jaguars at the Combine about players.
As for the idea of trading QB Nick Foles, La Canfora believes it’s likely impossible unless Jacksonville includes a decent pick in the deal.
This comes after the news that the Jaguars are trading CB A.J. Bouye to the Broncos for a 2020 fourth-round pick.
La Canfora first brought up the possibility of these players being potential trade candidates last week.
Campbell, 33, is a former second-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2008. He spent nine years in Arizona before signing a four-year, $60 million contract that included $30 million guaranteed with the Jaguars for the 2017 season.
Campbell stands to make a base salary of $15 million for the 2020 season.
In 2019, Campbell appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and recorded 56 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery, a defensive touchdown and a pass defense.
Linder, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2014. He was entering the final year of his rookie contract when he agreed to a six-year, $52.4 million contract that included $24 million guaranteed with the Jaguars in 2017.
Linder stands to make a base salary of $7 million for the 2020 season.
In 2019, Linder appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars, making 16 starts for them at center. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 5 center out of 38 qualifying players.
Norwell, 28, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2014. He finished out his three-year, $1,542,000 deal with Carolina before agreeing to a one-year restricted tender worth $2.746 million for the 2017 season.
The Jaguars later signed Norwell to a five-year, $66.5 million contract that includes $30 million fully guaranteed in 2018.
In 2019, Norwell appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars, making 16 starts for them at guard. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 24 guard out of 80 qualifying players.
