Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars will place DE Aaron Kampman on season-ending injured reserve after dealing with both knee and hamstring injuries.
So far the decision to sign Kampman hasn’t paid off the way that the team was hoping. Last year Kampman wound up tearing his ACL half way through the season.
He’ll be 33 next year and is set to make $5 million as well as another $6.5 million the following year so you can see where the Jaguars may opt to release Kampman rather than pay his large salary.
