Jaguars Place Three On COVID-19 List

According to Mark Long, the Jaguars placed WR Terry Godwin, WR Josh Hammond and CB Josh Nurse on the team’s practice squad COVID-19 list.

Godwin, 23, was originally a seventh-round pick by the Panthers in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Georgia. He signed a four-year, $2.6 million rookie contract but was among Carolina’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

From there, Godwin signed on to the Jaguars’ practice squad but was later released in January. Jacksonville re-signed him in March but cut him loose coming out of training camp. He’s bouned on and off their practice squad this season.

In 2020, Godwin has appeared in two games for the Jaguars and has recorded 20 kickoff return yards and no receptions on two targets.
