Jahvid Best Expects To Return Next Season

Detroit Lions RB Jahvid Best told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that he’s finally recovered from the concussion symptoms that forced him to miss the teams final 10 games of the season.

I’ll definitely be back,” Best said.

Best has had fast starts in each of first two season in the NFL but unfortunately injuries have limited his opportunities. Best’s concussion history is a huge concern since has dealt with multiple serious concussions dating back to his college career with the California Bears.

Detroit appeared to be ready for a quality running attack this season as they drafted Mikel Leshoure to be Best’s counterpart but he unfortunately suffered a torn Achilles during the preseason and missed the entire season.

There have been plenty of reports that have expressed concern about Best’s long-term future considering the severity of the head injuries that he’s dealth with but Best appears to be unfazed by the concerns.

Other people probably are, but I’m not,” Best said regarding worries about potential recurring concussion problems.
