ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Todd Haley will visit with the New York Jets at some point today and discuss possibliy helping the teams offense in some way.
Last night the Jets “parted ways” with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and it was shortly after the news broke that reports began connecting Tony Sparano to the teams offensive coordinator job. Haley and Sparano have been linked as a possible package deal that would have Sparano calling plays and handling the run-game while Haley would focus strictly on the teams passing attack.
It’s certainly a possibility but I guess we’ll have to see how today’s meeting goes before we know anything for certain.
