Manish Mehta reports that the Jets are not expected to re-sign WR/KR Andre Roberts and will instead let him walk in free agency.
The Jets signed Josh Bellamy in free agency, so he could take over for Roberts on special teams.
Roberts, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract in Arizona before signings a four-year, $16 million contract with the Redskins in 2014.
After two years in Washington, Roberts caught on with the Lions before signing a one-year, $1.8 million deal with the Falcons for the 2017 season. The Jets signed him to a one-year deal last March.
In 2018, Roberts appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and caught 10 passes for 79 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also totaled 1,174 kick return yards, 324 punt return yards and two touchdowns.
