Jets Place LB Ahmad Gooden On COVID-19 List, RB Jalin Moore On Retired List

The New York Jets officially placed RB Jalin Moore on the reserve/retired list Wednesday and added LB Ahmad Gooden to the COVID-19 list. 

The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.

Gooden, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Samford last year. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Broncos but was waived coming out of the preseason.

Denver re-signed Gooden to their practice squad and later promoted him to the active roster. He was waived in December before signing on to the Jets’ taxi squad. 

In 2019, Gooden appeared in three games for the Broncos and recorded one tackle.
