Jets Place TE Jace Amaro & DL Kevin Vickerson On Season-Ending I.R.

The New York Jets announced Tuesday that they’ve placed TE Jace Amaro and DL Kevin Vickerson on season-ending injured reserve.

Amaro, 23, has been dealing with a shoulder injury for awhile now and he was not making progress in recent days, according to reports. His specific injury is a labrum tear.

He’s entering the second year of his four-year, $4.29 million rookie contract that included $2.45 million guaranteed.

In 2014, Amaro appeared in 14 games and caught 38 passes for 345 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

Vickerson, 32, signed a one-year contract worth $950,000 with the Jets back in March.

In 2014, Vickerson appeared in 15 games for the Chiefs in 2014 and recorded 12 tackles and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 175 snaps last year to go along with a decent rating as a run-defender.
