Jets Sign RB Thomas Rawls

The New York Jets announced Friday that they’ve signed former Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls to a contract.

Rawls just recently visited with the Jets and it appears as though everything checked out. He also met with the Chiefs this offseason.

Rawls, 24, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan back in May of last year. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1.59 million rookie contract but was not tendered a restricted offer by the Seahawks.

Rawls was testing the open market for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Rawls appeared in 12 games for the Seahawks and rushed for 157 yards on 58 carries (2.7 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 94 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
