Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Jets brought in free agent FBย Derrick Coleman for a workout on Monday.
Coleman, 27,ย originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2012. He lasted just a few months in Minnesota before signing on to the Seahawks’ practice squad during the 2012 season and returned to the team on a future/reserve contract the following year.
Last year, the Falcons signed Coleman to a one-year contract and he is once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, Coleman appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and rushed for eight yards on two carries to go along with two receptions for 20 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
