TMZ Sports has obtained a police report from an incidentย thatย occurred back in January involvingย aย man who claims he was attacked by former Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt.
According to the report, the manย claims he was at aย nightclub around 2 AM on January 7, 2018 when he saw his friend getting shoved by three men includingย George Atkinsonย Jr.
The man claims he confronted Atkinson and was punched in the shoulder before being attacked by all three men including Hunt.
TMZ says that the manย claims to have beenย struck in his body and head multiple times and ultimately knocked unconscious before being treated in anย emergency room for a broken rib, broken nose and multiple bruises and contusions.
Police noted thatย the accuser had cuts on his mouth at the time he filed his report.
Neitherย Hunt nor Atkinson was arrested and no charges were ever filed in the case after the victim stopped cooperating with investigators.
This is the third altercation Hunt has allegedlyย been involved in the over the past year.
Ianย Rapoport, citing sources with direct knowledge of the situation, reported that Hunt is facing more than the baseline six-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
The NFL placed Hunt on the commissioner’s exempt list before the Chiefs announced his release Friday. He’s ineligible to play until Roger Goodell removes him from the list.
Hunt, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.263-million contract and set to make base salaries of $555,000 and $645,000 over the next two years of the agreement when the Chiefs waived him last week.
Hunt officially cleared waivers on Monday and is now a freeย agent.
In 2018, Hunt has appeared in 11 games for the Chiefs and rushed for 824 yards on 181 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 26 receptions for 378 yards receiving and 14 total touchdowns.
