The Titan’s continue to play the waiting game with wide receiver Kendall Wright. Still without a contract, the 20th overall pick in this year’s draft did not report to training camp on Friday. The apparent holdup in the contract negotiations are Wright’s demand for the 4th year in the deal to be guaranteed.
Titan’s quarterback Matt Hasselbeck isn’t too concerned about Wright’s no-show. โI think it will be okay,” Hasselbeck said via The Tennessean. “Iโm not losing any sleep over it. He canโt get hurt right now, being away. Thatโs a good thing.โ
Due to off the field issues, Titan’s wide receiver Kenny Britt faces the possibility of being released from the team at some point down the road. It’s important for Wright to show up to camp sooner rather than later to develop chemistry with either Hasselbeck or Jake Locker, as there’s a good chance he could be the Titans’ number one option at the wideout position.
