Kent Somers of Arizona Republic reports that it took Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb “nearly 7 weeks to recover” from a concussion that he suffered after being kneed in the head.
Kolb was interviewed about his concussion problems by the media after OTA’s Monday and he said that
“To be honest with you, when I first went home it was still pretty severe,” Kolb said following Monday’s OTA’s. “It kind of worried me because I figured once I got away from the game it would clear up pretty fast. But it didn’t.”
While he was with the Eagles, Kolb suffered a concussion that actually paved the way for Michael Vick to take over as the teams’ starting quarterback. This is a very serious concern for not only the Cardinals, but Kolb’s future health as well. There’s no question that 2012 is shaping up to be a make-or-break year for Kolb as the Cardinals could end up releasing him following the season.
