Kyler Murray Not Planning To Participate In Any Combine Drills

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray has told teams he doesn’t plan to participate in any drills or testing at the combine and will instead focus on  doing medical and interviews

Murray will work out at his pro day in the coming weeks.

Earlier in the day, Ian Rapoport reported that Murray told scouts and personnel people of several NFL teams that he doesn’t plan to throw at the Combin. However, they cautioned that Murray is a competitor and could still throw after seeing everyone else do it, but that wasn’t the plan as of last night.

On Thursday, Murray weighed in at 5-foot-10, 207 pounds at the Combine, which is similar which to Russell Wilson, so that should help his draft stock moving forward.

Murray made the decision to pursue an NFL career a few weeks ago, despite being drafted by the Oakland A’s last year. He’s now in the discussion to be a top-10 pick and could possibly go No. 1 overall.

During this three-year college career at Texans A&M and Oklahoma, Murray completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 5,098 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,369 and 12 touchdowns over the course of 28 games.
