LaDainian Tomlinson “95% retired,” Will Consider Certain Team’s

SI.com’s Jim Trotter tweets that RB LaDainian Tomlinson informed him that he’s “95% retired,” but would consider returning depending on the situation.

Tomlinson, 32, has drawn no interest in on the open market, which is by no means surprising when you consider that younger backs with less mileage have also found very few options. He’s also coming off of a disappointing season for the Jets in which he struggled to be effective, even in a limited a role. While he’s unquestionable one of the best running backs of his generation, it’s hard to imagine someone taking a chance on him at this point, even as a third-down back.
