Lions Activate LB Jarrad Davis From COVID-19 List, Place CB Tony McRae On IR

The Detroit Lions announced that they’re activating LB Jarrad Davis from the COVID-19 list on Monday and placing CB Tony McRae on injured reserve.

It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.

Davis, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2017. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $10.96 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.96 million for the 2020 season.

Detroit declined Davis’ fifth-year option this past May, which means he’ll be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
