Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Lions fear that LB Steve Longa suffered a torn ACL during Friday’s preseason game.
Longa was seen wearing a bulky brace on his knee after the game and is scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.
Longa, 23, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in 2016. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before he was waived and later signed to the Lions’ practice squad.
Since then, Longa has been on and off of the Lions’ taxi squad and returned to Detroit this past January on a futures contract.
In 2017, Longa appeared in 15 games for the Lions and recorded 13 tackles.
