The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday that they’ve placed CB Jeff Okudah on injured reserve, per Michael Rothstein.
Other roster moves from the Lions today include:
- Lions designated OL Halapoulivaati Vaitai to return from injured reserve. (NFLTR)
- Lions signed RB Jordan Scarlett and QB Jordan Ta’amu to their practice squad. (NFLTR)
- Lions released RB Dalyn Dawkins and P Arryn Siposs from their practice squad.
Okudah is undergoing surgery for a groin injury, so this move was expected.
Okudah, 21, started one season at Ohio State and earned All-American honors last season. The Lions used the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft on him.
Okudah signed a four-year, $33,528,542 rookie contract that includes a $21,944,394 signing bonus. The contract includes a fifth-year for the Lions to pick up for the 2024 season.
In 2020, Okudah appeared in nine games for the Lions and recorded 47 tackles, one interception and two passes defended.
