The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve placed OT Emmett Cleary on the reserve/retired list.

Cleary, 27, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2013. He lated just a few months in Indianapolis before he was waived at the start of the season and later signed to the Buccaneers’ practice squad.
Cleary had brief stints with the Raiders, Bengals, Giants and Cowboys before the Liosn signed him to a contract a few weeks into the 2017 season. He was in the final year of his contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.
In 2017, Cleary appeared in seven games for the Lions.
