The Detroit Lionsย placed TEย Brandon Pettigrew on season-ending injured reserveย and signed veteran TEย Bear Pascoe to a contract, according to Tim Twentyman.

- Lions waived CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste from theirย practice squad.
Pettigrew, 30, is in the second year of his four-year, $16 million contractย that includedย $8 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary ofย $2.8 million this season and anotherย $3.65 million in 2016.
This season,ย Pettigrew totaledย seven receptions for 67 yards receiving and a single touchdown over the course of eight games.
Pascoe, 29, is a formerย sixth-round pick of the 49ers back inย 2009. Heย spent a number of year with the Giants before signing a one-year contract with the Falcons last year.
The Bears elected to sign him to a one-year contract this past April, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts.
In 2014, Pascoe appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons, but recorded just two receptions for three yards and a touchdown.ย Pro Football Focus has him down for playingย 148 snaps last year to go along with a very respectable rating as a run-blocker.
