The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve placed DL Da’Shawn Hand on injured reserve and promoted DL John Atkins to their active roster.
Hand, 23, was selected in the fourth round of this year’s draft. The Lions actually traded up with the Patriots to get Hand.
Hand is in the first year of his four-year, $3,141,964 contract that includes a $681,964 signing bonus. He stands to make base salaries of $570,000 and $660,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Hand appeared in 13 games for the Lions and recorded 27 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumble and a recovery.
