The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve promoted TE Hakeem Valles to their active roster and placedย G Don Barclay (concussion) on injured reserve.
- The Lions also signed TE Brandon Barnes to their practice squad.
The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Dontez Ford (Injured)
- DE Earl Okine
- QB Brad Kaaya
- OT Dan Skipper
- WR Jace Billingsley
- DE Jeremiah Valoaga
- C Leo Koloamatangi
- DB Rolan Milligan
- DB Adairius Barnes
- TE Brandon Barnes
Valles, 25, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of Monmouth last year. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad before eventually being promoted to their active roster in October.
Arizona elected to cut Valles loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players and he later signed on to the Lions’ practice squad.
In 2016, Valles appeared in 11 games for the Cardinals but did not record a statistic.
