The Detroit Lions announced Thursday that they’ve signed DT Christian Ringo to their practice squad and released DT Daniel Ross from the unit.
The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Thurston Armbristerย (Exception)
- CB Adairius Barnes
- WR Jace Billingsley
- WR Dontez Ford (Injured)
- C Leo Koloamatangi
- DE Earl Okine
- S Rolan Milligan
- TE Hakeem Vallesย (Exception)
- WR Noel Thomas
- OT Storm Norton
- DTย Christian Ringo
Ringo, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later signed to their practice squad and eventually brought back on a future/reserve contract last year.
The Packers re-signed Ringo to aย one-year, exclusive rights contract worth $615,000 this past April before cutting him loose coming out of the preseason. The Bengals later claimed him off of waivers only to waive him a week later.
In 2016, Ringo appeared seven games for the Packers and recorded two tackles, a forced fumble and no sacks.
