The Detroit Lions announced Thursday that they’ve signed G Kenny Wiggins to a contract.
Wiggins, 29, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State back in 2011. He lasted just a few months with the team before he was signed to the Ravens’ practice squad at the start of the 2011 season.
Wiggins would later return to San Francisco during his rookie year before ending up with the Chargers at the start of the 2013 season. He has spent the past five years with the Chargers and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017 Wiggins appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 70 offensive tackle out of 77 qualifying players.
