Lions Sign G Tim Lelito, Place G Joe Dahl On Injured Reserve

The Detroit Lions announced that they’ve signed G Tim Lelito to a contract on Tuesday and placed G Joe Dahl on injured reserve with a leg injury.

Lelito, 27, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2013. He has managed to make the 53-man roster in all four his seasons in the NFL and returned to the Saints last year on a one-year, $1.67 million contract.

The Titans signed Lelito to a one-year deal this offseason but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Lelito appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 49 guard out of 72 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
