The Detroit Lions officially announced the signing of RB George Winn and the release G D.J. Morrell on Wednesday.

Morrell signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion. He offers great size at 6-foot-5, 325 pounds, but the Lions would obviously prefer to see what their players have to offer during training camp.

HOF Player Representatives, the agency for RB George Winn, announced Wednesday that their client has signed with the Lions.
Winn, 23, signed on with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Cincinnati back in 2013. He has already played for six NFL teams in the past year, so he faces long odds of making the Lions final 53-man roster, but at least he’s getting another opportunity.
During his final year at Cincinnati, Winn ran for 1,334 yards on 243 carries and scored 13 touchdowns .
