The Lions announced on Tuesday they have signed LB Christian Sam and DT Oliver Sagapolu to the practice squad.

- DT Olive Sagapolu
Sam, 23, was drafted in the sixth round by the Patriots out of Arizona State in 2018. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2.6 million rookie deal when New England waived him coming out of the preseason.
Sam caught on with the Dolphins practice squad before being released after a week. Sam also spent time earlier this season on the 49ers practice squad.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
Sagapolu, 22, signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived by Green Bay coming out of the preseason.
During his four-year college career, Sagapolu recorded 61 total tackles, six sacks, an interception and a pass defense in 28 career games.
