The Lions announced Sunday they have waived six players in order to trim the active roster down to 80 players.
The full list includes:
- WR Travis Fulgham
- G Joshua Garnett
- WR Chris Lacy
- LB Christian Sam
- DE Jonathan Wynn
- DB Michael Jackson
Garnett, 26, is a former first-round pick by the 49ers in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was entering the second year of a four year $9.304 million rookie contract when the 49ers waived him coming out of the preseason.
Garnett has worked his way back from an offseason knee scope. He tried out for a number of teams during the season including the Packers, Broncos, Texans, and Titans.
He signed a one-year deal with the Lions earlier this offseason.
In 2018, Garnett appeared in seven games for the 49ers.
