According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Redskins are scheduled to host LSU DE/OLB Arden Key for a pre-draft visit on Monday.
During the pre-draft process, Key has reportedly met with the Saints, Lions, 49ers and Bengals.
The Redskins signed Pernell McPhee to a contract, but the could still use help at edge-rusher and there’s at least a chance that Key could still be on the board by the time they’re on the clock in round two.
Key has been considered one of the top edge rushers in college football the past few years. However, some evaluators have concerns about him after a disappointing 2017 season, so he should end up being one of the more interesting prospects to watch in this year’s draft.
During his college career at LSU, Key recorded 129 tackles, 24.5 tackles for a loss, 20 sacks, three forced fumbles, two recoveries and four pass defenses over the course of three seasons and 31 games.
